Today is Christmas Eve (Vespera de Natal). Mothers must be busy at cooking for tonight.

My family in Brazil used to be like that too. As relatives gathered, various combinations of sounds-like an orchestra- were heard from the kitchen since early in the morning. It was one of my fondest memories.

One of my relatives, my lovely niece came to Japan from Thailand the day before yesterday. 8 years ago, she came to Japan at the same season. At that time she was a single but this time she came to Japan with her husband😍.

When I was waiting to pick her up at Narita Airport, Nintendo music (Mario? Maybe 🤔, sorry, I'm not familiar with games 💦) was playing. It must be chosen as music that makes tourists feel Japan when they arrive at the Airport.

Besides games, Japan is famous with Anime and Manga (Comics). When I stopped by a bookstore in Brazil the other day, I was surprised by superb manga corner.

My older brothers were reading Manga when I was little. At that time, all Manga were written in Japanese. And it was quite difficult to buy them. They had to go to Sao Paulo's Japanese town (now Oriental town) to get them. We couldn't even imagine online shopping back then. Since those Manga were expensive, they seemed to read them carefully.

But today's Manga are written in Portuguese and are sold at bookstores in various towns. It is really convenient!!!

In addition, cosplay is also getting popular in Brazil. My friend's daughter is addicted to it and she even entered a contest in Brazil. Her dream is to visit Japan so she is studying Japanese step by step.

In the past, the image of Japan was "electrical appliances", but now it may be said that Japan is "the kingdom of Anime and Manga".
