I wanted to be able to converse in Portuguese with my Brazilian friends, so I decided to take individual online lessons.
Teacher Natália is bright, easy to talk to, and truly wonderful. She always finds materials that match my interests and guides me through improving my conversation skills, which I struggled with. The free talk on various topics besides the textbooks is always enjoyable. Since it's hard to jot down everything learned during the lesson, the "key points of the day" she sends afterward are very helpful for review. Natália is the first teacher who has provided such follow-up after lessons, and I am deeply impressed. Her encouraging comments in the feedback section greatly boost my motivation to study. Thanks to her fun and effective lessons, I’m gradually becoming able to hold conversations, which makes me very happy.

I decided to take the course because I wanted to refresh my Portuguese, which I had studied during university. One of the best aspects of the lessons was that the text materials were tailored to my preferences. Since I was considering taking the Portuguese proficiency test, we used sample questions and other relevant materials in the lessons. I believe I was able to pass the exam thanks to the various pieces of advice I received about the test. The lessons are conducted according to the student's level, so I would recommend them not only to those who have already studied Portuguese but also to those who are considering learning it for the first time.

I lived in Brazil for a few years due to an international marriage and have now returned to Japan. I am taking Portuguese lessons to prevent forgetting the language before I travel to Brazil again. Among the many Portuguese teachers available, the instructor's deep understanding of both Brazilian and Japanese life is their charm. It can be difficult to convey meanings accurately when translating directly between Japanese and Portuguese, and understanding this gap is challenging in learning. The teacher explains the cultural and linguistic differences between the two languages, so many things that I didn't understand while living in Brazil have become clear to me now. The sense of isolation from not understanding things in the local context would have been lessened if I had learned from the teacher earlier. I look forward to continuing with the lessons.
São Paulo Ms. I.I (Japanese Lesson Japanese Lesson for Brazilian)
After I started having an interest in the the Japanese language, I enrolled into different language schools in order to learn it. However after a couple of tries, it was clear to me that the teaching method they chose wasn't a good match for my way of learning. And so, I decided to try private lessons with someone who had lived in Japan and understood not only the language (grammar, vocabulary or writing) but also the culture behind it. To me, that was eye opening! Each lesson was filled with a lot of encouragement! Focusing in areas I needed to improve and in topics that I had taken interest in. I could freely input my Brazilian point of view, in a way to better understand the Japanese culture while having a great conversation with someone who understands both sides!

Natalia’s lessons are incredibly motivating! Her approach of praising and encouraging me during each class always uplifts my spirits. Additionally, when I had specialized professional inquiries, she kindly consulted with her Brazilian contacts, which I deeply appreciate. Natalia is a very kind and wonderful person, and I believe that anyone will come to love Brazil even while in Japan because of her!

I started taking lessons because of my husband's assignment to Brazil. As I had no prior familiarity with Portuguese, I was worried about whether I would be able to learn it.
At first, Natalia’s lessons used Japanese-language texts, but gradually we transitioned to materials written only in Portuguese and conversation texts created by the teacher herself. This natural increase in speaking time in Portuguese was very helpful.
In the beginning, the opening talks at the start of the lesson were just listing words, but gradually I was able to form short sentences. The handmade texts were particularly useful, incorporating frequently used phrases and the way Brazilians actually speak in daily life.
Additionally, the explanations about Brazilian culture and customs helped me understand the meaning of the words better. Natalia also assigns a lot of homework, which can be a bit challenging at times, but her cheerful and enthusiastic "Perfeito!" (Perfect!) during the review sessions motivated me to keep going.
I highly recommend experiencing Natalia's lessons, where she encourages and helps you grow through praise.

Due to work constraints, I chose Saturday Skype lessons because I'm not always sure if I can attend lessons on weekdays. Whether it's hot or cold, or raining, having lessons at home has made it possible for me to continue.
After each weekly lesson, I always review the new vocabulary I’ve learned, and the “key points of the day” that the teacher sends via email are very helpful.
I also look forward to the free talk sessions with the teacher. I enjoy hearing about Brazil from her and exchanging opinions about Japan, given that she has lived in Japan for a long time. Sometimes our conversations end up being longer than the lesson itself.
Except for one instance when Skype didn’t connect for some reason, I haven’t encountered any issues with the Skype lessons. I highly recommend them for those who find commuting to a classroom inconvenient or who have busy schedules.

I started taking lessons for two months focusing on daily conversation due to my husband’s relocation to Brazil.
Here are the reasons and positive aspects:
-
The lessons are tailored to individual needs rather than being business-focused.
-
The pay-as-you-go system allows you to attend lessons at your own pace.
-
You acquire conversational skills that are difficult to gain through self-study, including local expressions not found in textbooks.
-
After each lesson, you receive a detailed summary via email, providing excellent aftercare.
-
The teacher provides very helpful information about Brazil.
In addition to the lessons, I was also assisted with information about items to use in Brazil, recipes, and things to bring from Japan.
Above all, the teacher’s wonderful personality makes each lesson enjoyable. It’s a truly fantastic school!!

I had previously worked in a Portuguese-speaking country and was looking for a private tutor to maintain my language skills.
I had taken lessons at another school, but simply conversing did not lead to improvements in vocabulary or reading comprehension.
With my busy work schedule, I also struggled to find time to look for materials in areas of interest for my lessons. When I heard that Natalia was offering private lessons, I decided to take weekly sessions.
She prepared materials tailored to my learning goals and interests, making my limited time very productive. I appreciate the effort she put into finding interesting articles and preparing customized materials.
Her detailed guidance on pronunciation transformed my accent from a Portuguese-Portuguese one to a Brazilian-Portuguese one (laughs).
Listening to her stories about life and customs in Brazil has expanded my interest in potentially working there someday.
I highly recommend her to anyone serious about studying Portuguese.
